YOKO ICHIMURA
Born in Hokkaido,Japan,and based in Tokyo.
I work on the theme of scenery. I focus on public or individual feelings and information, such as local history and events, and reconstruct the scenery through the filter of the present self.
statement
I am deeply impressed by the interiority and the locality of sceneries.
Sceneries always contain a variety of situations, social or psychological information derived from the land.
The scenery from a distant perspective contains sublimeness, and the viewer is in awe.
The sceneries of the hometown where I was born and raised is also an event that shapes the person's self-identity.
I want to know what the scenery of myself and others is like with each other,
For situations and events derived from a certain land, think about the current time axis that has passed several years or
a little while recalling memories of the past,
Rebuild the scenery through the individual filter called me. The title includes a number indicating the geographical location.
The world, which has been greatly categorized, is subdivided and diversified, and it is not known whether what forms someone
is fact or unfact.
When the scenery that exists in front of you disappears, what can shape the world?
Create with my own hopes and considerations for the future.

東京を拠点に活動。
風景をテーマに制作。既にある風景に対し
その場所の歴史や出来事などのパブリックな、或いは
個の感情や情報に着目し、自己のフィルターを通し風景を再構築する。
statement
私は風景の持つ場所性と内面性に興味を抱く。
風景は場所から派生したさまざまな状況、社会的または個人的な情報を常に含んでいる。
遠い視点の風景は崇高さを含む。
生まれ育った故郷の風景は、私の自己同一性をかたちどっている事象でもある。
互いの風景がどのようなものなのかを知り共有したいと思い、
ある場所から派生した状況や出来事に対して、歴史或いは個人の記憶を手繰り寄せながら数年、または少しの時を経た現在の時間軸で風景を再構築する。
カテゴライズ化されてきた事象は細分化または多様化し、何かを形成するものはファクトかアンファクトかわからない状況のなか
目前に在る風景が消失していくとき、形成されていくものは何か。
未来へ向けて希望と考察を入れて制作する。
